Telegram bot
Text a bot. Save a memory.

Memory4Me lives in the app you already keep open. Send anything to @Memory4MeBot and it gets parsed, categorized, and filed for you.

๐Ÿ“จ What you can send

Four kinds of input, all parsed the same way.

๐Ÿ“ Text

Type a sentence the way you'd say it out loud. AI extracts category, the thing you're talking about, location, who you were with, rating, sentiment, tags.

Had amazing pad thai at Pai Northern Thai in Toronto with Brad. 5 stars, get the curry next time.
๐Ÿ“ธ Photo

Snap a menu, a book cover, a wine label. AI describes what it sees and parses any caption. Send multiple photos as an album and they attach to one memory.

[photo of a book cover] ยท caption: "Finished this on the train. Best sci-fi in years."
๐ŸŽ™ Voice note

Tap-and-hold the mic in Telegram. The bot transcribes and parses in one step, and saves the audio so you can replay it later.

"Just left dinner at Yasu, the omakase was incredible, especially the cured tuna. Going back with Heather next month."
๐Ÿ“Ž Image as a file (for EXIF)

Telegram strips EXIF from regular photos. To keep date and GPS, send the image as a file (long-press โ†’ Send as File). The bot auto-fills location from GPS.

Run /addimage for a reminder of how to do it.

โœ… Review before saving

Nothing saves until you tap Save. Every entry shows up as a preview card with these buttons:

  • โœ… Save โ€” commit the memory as-is
  • ๐Ÿ”’ Save Encrypted โ€” lock this one entry so it's unreadable without your login
  • โŒ Cancel โ€” drop it; nothing is saved
  • ๐Ÿ“‚ Change category โ€” opens the full category picker (or type a brand-new one)
โŒจ๏ธ The bottom menu

After your first action, a persistent keyboard appears at the bottom of the chat. Tap a button instead of typing slash commands.

โž• Add
๐Ÿ”Ž Find
๐Ÿ“‹ Recent
๐Ÿ‘ฅ People
๐Ÿ”‘ Magic Login

If the menu disappears, just send another message or run /start.

๐Ÿ”‘ Sign into the web from Telegram

Tap ๐Ÿ”‘ Magic Login (or run /login) and the bot replies with a one-tap button that signs you into memory4.me as you. Useful when you've been ramble-saving from the bot and now want to look at things on the web.

  • Link is good for 15 minutes and works once.
  • Rate-limited to one link per minute; tap-spamming just gets you the same link.
  • Only the chat paired to your account can issue your link.
๐Ÿ”Ž Finding memories

Tap ๐Ÿ”Ž Find or run /find and you'll be asked how you want to search.

๐Ÿค– AI search

Ask in plain English. AI translates your question into filters and writes a friendly summary of the matches.

what did I think of Pai?
where did I go for dinner with Brad last month?
any books I wanted to read?
๐Ÿ”ค Full text search

Match every word. Quotes pin a phrase. Encrypted memories are skipped.

ramen ossington
"pad thai"

You can also send the query inline: /find pad thai with brad goes straight to AI search.

๐Ÿ“‹ Browsing what you've saved

A few commands cover most ways you'd want to look back.

/recent
Last 10 memories across everything.
/recent food
Last 10 in the food category.
/list
Picker showing every category with counts.
/list books
All memories in one category, paginated.
/categories
Counts grouped by category.
/people
Picker showing everyone (and every pet) you've mentioned.
/with brad
Every memory with that person.
/wishlist
Anything you've marked as something you want to try.
โœ๏ธ Editing on the fly

Every saved memory card has Edit and Delete buttons. Tap โœ๏ธ Edit to change a single field, then send the new value.

โœ๏ธ Text
๐Ÿท๏ธ Name
๐Ÿ“ Location
๐Ÿ’ฌ Summary
๐Ÿ”— URL
๐Ÿ“‚ Category
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Add people

Reply with - to clear a field. Edits are saved as soon as you send.

โœจ Enrich with web info

When a memory has a specific name (a restaurant, a book, a place), the saved card shows an โœจ Enrich with web info button. Tap it and the bot looks up the real-world details for you.

โœจ Found online
Pai Northern Thai is a Chiang Mai-style restaurant in Toronto, known for boat noodles and khao soi.
โ€ข Address: 18 Duncan St, Toronto ยท Hours: Daily noon to 10 pm ยท Website: paitoronto.com

It only runs when you ask for it, and it's a one-shot per memory.

๐Ÿ”’ Privacy on each memory

Two ways to keep things tight:

  • ๐Ÿ”’ Save Encrypted on any draft locks that one memory so the body is unreadable without your login. Encrypted memories are skipped in text search and recap emails.
  • Default lock can be turned on in Profile so every new memory is locked by default.

โš ๏ธ Don't send credit card numbers, SSNs, passwords, or bank details. Memory4Me stores what you send, so keep secrets out.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro tips
  • Name names. Saying "with Brad and Heather" auto-creates a page for each. "/with brad" later finds everything you've done together.
  • Tell it the kind. "Want to try Yasu sometime" gets filed as a Wishlist. "Remind me Friday to..." gets filed as a Reminder.
  • Pets count. "Suica chased a squirrel" creates a pet page for Suica, separate from the people list.
  • Set a profile hint. In Profile, add a one-liner like "Suica is my dog, not a transit card" so the AI never misclassifies.
  • Voice is fastest in the car. Hold the mic, ramble, send. The bot transcribes and structures it.
  • Snap menus. Photos of menus, books, records all become searchable; AI describes what's in them.
๐Ÿ”— Connecting the bot to your account

Memory4Me has one shared bot (@Memory4MeBot) and each Telegram chat gets paired to exactly one account.

  1. Sign in to memory4.me.
  2. Go to Settings โ†’ Bot.
  3. Tap "Generate pairing link," then "Open @Memory4MeBot."
  4. Telegram sends a one-time message and your account is paired.

From then on, anything you send to that chat lands on your account only. Other Telegram users using the bot have their own pairings.
